Change Indeedy!

I asked for change & change was granted! Whoever says that God doesn't answer prayers is an idiot. Here are a few items of change in my life. . .

I'm applying to Fuller Theological Seminary for the Fall of 2009 (yes, that's this Fall!) to get my Masters in Theology. I'm also going to apply to Biola Univ. for a Masters in Youth & Family Ministry, but honestly, folks, I'm pulling for Fuller. I've been thinking & praying about this for a while now & I kind of figured this is the best time for me to do this. I'm young, I'm single & I'm still in "Student mode". I've been taking tests & writing papers for the past 16 years of my life. Why stop now? Plus, the best part is that I get to defer my loans! Yay!

I've been asked to co-author a book for CPH (Concordia Publishing House). I know what you're thinking, "She's not the BEST writer out there, why her?" My thoughts exactly! Apparently, I'm pretty funny, have some good ideas about college ministry & am easy to read. So, BAM! Book! My first chapter is about dating in college! Hahaha! I don't know if I have a whole lot of experiencial authority in this subject, but I do have a lot of really funny analogies & metaphors for dating & finding "the one". So, we'll see what they think once I start submitting what I write. Oh yeah! The BEST part is I get paid! Woo-hoo!

My parents are coming to visit me in 2 weeks for my mom's birthday! This isn't really change, but it's equally exciting!

I'm so glad that things are working out! I'll keep you all posted!

In Need for Some Change...

I feel like I'm in need for a little change. . . You know, just something to mix things up a bit. I really don't want to get in the habit of living without adventure & I really feel myself settling into this little comfortable nook.

Now, I'm all for comfortable nooks, but only when it's appropriate: reading a good book, snuggling with someone, that perfect spot on the pillow before you fall asleep. But, comfortable nooks in life can be a real dangerous thing.

Hence, the change.

I'm on the verge of something great! I can feel it in the wind. . .
